Due to the current postholder moving on after 13 successful years, we are seeking to appoint a new School Business Manager for our successful 2-form entry school in Cambridge.

This is a pivotal role within the school leadership team, working alongside the headteacher and governing body to provide strategic leadership in matters relating to finance and premises. 

Getting the right person for this role is essential so, we are willing to consider full or part-time, as well as flexible working.

We are looking for a candidate with experience of and the ability to

  • Provide effective management of, reporting and recording of school finances
  • Lead on procurement of goods and services
  • Ensure we have the facilities required to deliver the best outcomes for all our children
  • Support the administrative team with HR functions to ensure compliance with any regulatory frameworks.
  • Provide effective line management and support the professional development of others as well as be pro-active in their own professional development
  • Develop marketing and communication strategies and maximise income generation
  • Lead and manage change within the organisation

We are seeking to appoint a Caretaker to assist the Site Manager in ensuring that the premises and grounds of the school are maintained to the highest possible level of cleanliness and are attractive in appearance at all times.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in assisting the Site Manager with the efficient running of the school and to contribute to the school’s exciting future plans.

Finance Officer
 

An exciting opportunity to join our administration team in a part-time role as Finance Officer.

The salary is 2020 NJC scale 10-13 (£11.05-£11.73 per hour/£21,322-£22,627 FTE, to be pro-rated for part time working). The hours of work are 15 hours per week 52 weeks per year. Flexible working hours , or term time only working arrangements will be considered to allow for childcare or other commitments.

We are particularly interested to hear from candidates who:

  • are able to accurately input data into financial systems
  • have experience of BACs runs
  • have an eye for detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy

We are a happy, friendly school with a supportive staff team. Our aspirations for the children will be achieved by providing the teaching staff with excellent office support. Our ideal candidate will have experience of working in a finance role in a school, or other organisation, which will enable them to deliver effective management of the school finances in conjunction with the Business Manager. They should also have strong  administration skills and be able to adapt to all aspects of working in a busy school office, show initiative and take the lead in providing a friendly welcome to all visitors, parents and pupils. Morley Memorial Primary School have Playwork vacancies for qualified and unqualified individuals to join our committed and enthusiastic ‘Spectrum’ team. Spectrum provides high quality play-based childcare. Our provision is open as follows:

  • 7.30-8.45 (Monday – Friday term-time) “Breakfast Club”
  • 3.00-6.00 (Monday – Friday term-time) “After-School Club”
  • 8.00-6.00 (Monday – Friday during school holidays) “Holiday Club”

With afternoon vacancies from, we’re looking for new members to join our team of staff to provide a play-based childcare provision for children. Spectrum is a fun and busy club, where the children feel at home to play as they choose in a welcoming and stimulating environment. Applicants should be enthusiastic, patient, conscientious, reliable and aware of their duty of care to the children in the setting. Flexibility and teamwork skills are obviously crucial, as is a sense of enthusiasm and the desire to play. Successful applicants will be expected to adhere to all policies and procedures of the setting and undertake appropriate training to compliment any existing qualifications and experience. *there is scope for additional hours at breakfast club, during school lunchtimes (11.45-1.00) and casual hours during school holidays. Hours are open to negotiation but letters of application should indicate availability.
