Early Years Induction Evening

Starting school is an important milestone for both families and children and it’s a journey which begins at home ahead of that first day at school. There are many things which parents and carers can do to help children prepare for that special day.
We would advise all parents and carers to visit the ‘Starting Reception’ website for advice and ideas on getting topics such as:
How can I help my child get ready for Reception?
What basic skills should we practise at home before starting Reception?
How can I support my child with toilet training ahead of school?
All families with children starting in our Reception classes will receive a welcome pack electronically ahead of the Early Years Induction Evening in June. Examples of the documents which will be included are below.
