Health and Safety

In school we try to develop good attitudes to road safety and safety is discussed in every class. It is important that all adults set children a good example in this area, and we would ask you to help us in the following ways:

  • Please cross from the Early Years to the main school on the raised section of road.
  • If you bring or collect your child by car, limited parking is possible in Blinco Grove but the road does get very congested. It is important for the safety of all the children that you do not wait on the zigzag lines. Please do not park in the staff car park or use it for turning.
  • Children (and adults!) who cycle to school should wear helmets, and must not ride bikes through the playground.
  • Dogs, other than guide dogs are not allowed on school premises. Please do not tie your dogs to the school railings while you collect your child. Many children are frightened of dogs and even the most placid family pet may get agitated in the presence of large numbers of children.
