Clerk to the Governing Body

 Morley Memorial Primary School is looking to appoint a clerk to the governing body.  
  • Hours:  3.5 hours a week 

  • Salary:  Salary scale 8 – £20,493 per annum pro rata (£10.62 per hour)

The role of the clerk to governors it to:

  • provide advice to the governing body on governance, constitutional and procedural matters

  • provide effective administration of governor meetings and other governance matters

  • manage information for the governing body in accordance with legal requirements

The successful candidate will have excellent administrative, interpersonal and communication skills.  They will need to be pro-active about taking the initiative and will need to be exceptionally well organised.  They should have a flexible approach to working hours and be committed to their own professional development.

 
 
 
 
 Teaching Assistants – Level 2 –  Reception/KS1/Year 3

Level 2 – 30 hours per week,  permanent to start as soon as possible

Salary Scale 2 5-6 (£19,312- £19,698 Pro rata – Term-time only. Actual salary is  £14,789 – £15,084)

We are seeking to appoint three caring teaching assistants to join our committed, professional and friendly team.  The successful candidates will be required to support teaching in the classroom, deliver small group sessions and work closely, but not solely, with a child with additional needs. 

We are looking for someone who:

  • has a good rapport with children and is able to engage them in their learning 

  • is able to work flexibly as part of a team with drive and passion to ensure that all children achieve

  • is willing and able to share good practice and learn from others

  • is able to promote the aims and values of the school

  • is well organised and punctual

We would be particularly interested in hearing from applicants who:

  • have experience in or a desire to work in Early Years, Key Stage 1 or Year 3.

  • have a proven track record of supporting a child with medical needs or an interest in doing so

  • have experience of successfully supporting children with additional needs (including communication and interaction needs, ASD and SEMH)

  • have a good standard of spoken and written English

The successful candidate will be expected to meet all aspects of the job description.

Deputy Office Manager

An exciting opportunity to join our Admin team in a full time role combining human resources and administration skills.

The salary is 2020 NJC scale 7- 11 (£10.41-£11.27 per hour/£20,092-£21748 FTE, to be pro-rated for term time working). The hours of work are 37 hours per week during term time, plus approx. 3 days during the school holidays/inset days by agreement. 

We are a happy, friendly school with a supportive staff team. Our aspirations for the children will be achieved by providing the teaching staff with excellent office support. Our ideal candidate will have experience of working in a busy school office, or other organisation, which will enable them to deliver effective support for the school human resources. They should also have strong  administration skills and be able to adapt to all aspects of working in a busy school office, show initiative and take the lead in providing a friendly welcome to all visitors, parents and pupils. Finance Officer 

An exciting opportunity to join our Admin team in a part-time role as finance officer.

The salary is 2020 NJC scale 5- 6 (£10.01-£10.21 per hour/£19,312-£19,698 FTE, to be pro-rated for part time working). The hours of work are 15 hours per week during term time plus 5 days outside of term-time by negotiation.  Flexible working options will be considered to allow for childcare or other commitments.

We are particularly interested to hear from candidates who:

  • are able to accurately input data into financial systems
  • have experience of BACs runs
  • have an eye for detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy

Senior Midday Play and Lunch Leader

Working hours are 10 hours per week Monday to Friday Term-time only
Salary: Scale 5-6 £19,312 – £19,698 Pro rata (actual rate equates to £10.01 to £10.21 per hour) dependent on experience.

We are looking to appoint a Senior Midday Play and Lunch Leader to join our friendly team at Morley Memorial Primary School.

There will be supervisory responsibilities for Play and lunch leaders /midday supervisors and pupil leaders.
