Online Welcome Meetings
Welcome to Year…. Meetings September 2020
Dear Parents & Carers,
Now that we have found our feet again at the start of the academic year, we would like to invite you to attend our usual ‘Welcome to Year… ‘ meetings.
As in previous years, these meetings are an opportunity for us to share the expectations for each class and year group in terms of general housekeeping and organisation and also our expectations for learning and behaviour. We will be explaining a little about our whole school focus on ‘Visible Learning’, a research-based approach to learning and teaching, and hopefully will answer any general queries you may have now that we are getting into the routines of school life again.
This year these will be virtual meetings with two 30 minute sessions, one for each class in a year group. In this way we hope to ensure that parents with siblings in more than one class will be able to attend the meetings for the relevant year groups, and also ensure that each meeting is manageable in terms of numbers.
Each meeting within a year group will contain the same information, so please only attend one – you won’t be missing anything different!

If you are using a hand-held device you will need to have Google Meet installed in order to access the meetings, otherwise just select and click the link for your child’s class at the correct time.
This schedule will also be posted on the school website.
Class teachers will ensure that relevant information is provided on the school website after the meetings.
We hope that as many of you are able to attend as possible, as this is a valuable opportunity for us all to build those home-school links that are so crucial in supporting children’s learning and progress at school.
