Life in Roman times became a reality for our Y3 children as they spent the day as Roman citizens. They enjoyed time at a Roman marketplace and had the chance to create their own wax writing tablets, and even make their own colourful mosaics. The children also enjoyed a special Roman feast, where some served as Roman slaves, others took on the role of soldiers, whilst a well rehearsed group of performers provided entertainment through dances and plays.
Rumours of an uprising, led by Boudicca and her rebels, added some extra tension, but the well-drilled soldiers knew what to do if there was any trouble.
